I Wonder (5-17-8)
Like a beautiful sunset
wish I could fall asleep in her eyes
Oh how summer blooms in my heart when I think of her
I distract myself
As I wait for her to speak to me
I dreamed of her last night
Like in reality
she was always just out of reach
In a series of whispers
I told myself today lying underneath a tree in the shade
That everything will work itself out
I often wonder how soft her hand would feel
pressed up against my face
Or how sweet her hair would smell on my breath in the
morning
Do thoughts of me die fast
When she thinks of me
Or does she smile
When she sees a picture of me
Waiting around for two birds
To come tell me
She wants me
Like I want her
