Made For More  (12-07-09)

in this city of endless traffic
the hours pass on by without notice
waiting for something that might never come
moving into yet another year
so what is it now that I have to complain about
is it yet another look from her that's not meant for me
Stuck here once again in the wild wild west
with the wind a blowin' and a chasing around the snow
Almost said goodbye to Colorado
But I remembered this is where I live
with my Mother a lonely woman now
and my Dad long gone
so I must still have a lot to learn
If for only one moment I could be like you
lay down into an easy chair
swiftly watch a movie
that will make me feel so so good inside
But I open up a book to read on most days now
With true love apart of yesterday
I'm moving along to the rhythm of a new day
If I die today
Is it you that will give me flowers now
enough of all of that silly talk
So the winter time is here
And Highway I-70 is still calling my name
So maybe it's me that doesn't understand what I should do now
If I was very well read
would I still be here
If someone handed me a bus ticket
Would I soon be on my way
