The Remarkable Run  Is Over.....

The unheard of 10th Seeded Davidson College fell short against the usual choking Kansas Jayhawks. Most of us were rooting for the underdog. What a great run they had. They fell one shot short.

Stephen Curry walks off the court after his Davidson Wildcats lost 59-57 to the Kansas Jayhawks Sunday. The loss ended Davidson's 25-game winning streak.

Stephen Curry the son of former NBA sharpshooter Del Curry, despite all of the success he had in high school he went unnoticed by major ACC schools. Most of them thought he was too undersized to handle the physical nature of the college game. Last year Stephen led the Southern Conference in scoring. Averaging 21.5 points per game and was second in the nation for freshmen in scoring, to Texas' Kevin Durant, who ended up being the 2nd pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Coming off of that stellar freshman season, Curry was eager to impress this year. And that he did, on February 13, 2008, Curry's 41 point game against the University of North Carolina Greensboro helped Davidson come back from a 20-point first half deficit. That right there defined the whole season for them. During the tournament Curry led them from one upset to the next. How exciting it was to watch them. Stephen may be getting most of the press. But the whole team played pretty well. I was glad to hear that after the game, Curry announced that he would return for his junior year. And so the underdog plays on...

Technology's  Stranglehold.....

I was driving to one of my jobs and I got to thinking. I was thinking about technology and how it's complicated our lives. Growing up was such a simplier time. Don't get me wrong I think technology has many benefits. But I think it's made our lives much more difficult. And it's really empowering the Government. They are slowly enslaving us with it. Taking away are freedom little by little. Our founding forefathers would be disgusted if they could see how things have become.

On a lighter note, DJ Excel mixed a song about Barrack Obama with excerpts from the racist Harlem Pastor Manning who has been railing against Barack Obama in sermons for reasons that are hard to pick out.

Jericho  Is No More.....

On March 21, 2008 CBS announced that the network would not be renewing Jericho for a third season. The final episode will air tonight. Lackluster ratings prompted CBS to cancel the show for a second time. This really frustrates me I don't watch much TV. And this is easily one of my favorite shows. And one of the best in my opinion.

CBS tried to cancel the show last year. But a small rabid grassroots fan base. Spoke out and put an end to that. Unfortunately they axed it again. I'm hoping people will email CBS again voicing their disgust at the fading primetime network. They are so desperate for ratings they are airing an edited version of the Showtime hit Dexter. If were lucky some other network will pick up the show.

Archie's struggle with "A Different Class"

Last week, Chris' Invisible Super Blog posted a series of Archie's Gang Comics frames lovingly re-captioned with the lyrics of Pulp's song "A Different Class," the title track from the group's beloved 1995 album. Interestingly, the commentors on the original post - and on the numerous blogs that have pointed to this hilarious bit of pop art

I Wear My Boxers Backwards (for comfort of coarse)

I don't know what's happening to me. Since the first of the year I have put on my boxer shorts backwards three different times. Before this year I had never done such a thing. Should I start to panic. Is something wrong with me. Should I panic, maybe I need to see the doctor. I mean who does that. Not just once but three times. The worst part about it is that I don't notice it until a few hours later when I have to go pee pee. Someone please help me. Tell me what my next move should be.

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.'
