wanna get up, get dressed
and take this town by storm
wanna give away all my secrets
and not be afraid to be that vulnerable
wanna take turns staring into each other's eyes
wanna enjoy one last summer night
before my winter coat keeps me warm by night

wanna be the king of just one night
with all the right places
and all the right people keeping me company
wanna have just one night with no regrets and no miscues
wanna another story where I feel like I belong in the driver's seat

wanna cruise down the boulevard with the top down
and feel like I'm in the spotlight for even just one moment
wanna walk down the street with the feeling that everyone feels
like we are all living the good life

wanna feel like I'm not too late to enjoy the moment
wanna be in the wrong place and make it the right place
wanna end up at home and feel like I made the most of every moment of the day
wanna fight for something I believe in
and see it make a difference in someone else's life
wanna shine in the spaces where you don't know that I'm there
and go down easy knowing that you will be alright without me here
